HISTORY
Olive Medical Corporation was founded in Sandy Utah in October of 2009.
The founders came from diverse product development backgrounds in the
medical, entertainment, and aerospace fields.
Olive Medical is dedicated to reducing the cost of
surgical imaging equipment by using a combination of superior technology,
vertical integration, and lean development.
The OVB1 HD Camera Control Unit, in combination with the TCK1 Camera
Head, delivers an image quality equivalent to or better than leading
endoscopic cameras while staying within budget constraints.
MANAGEMENT
Josh Talbert, Chief Executive Officer, Boardmember
Mr. Talbert leads the company as Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the
Board of Directors. He has held these roles since the Company's founding in 2009.
Mr. Talbert has also led the Company through several equity financing rounds. In addition
to driving financial goals, he has established both domestic and international sales
and marketing channels for the Company. Prior to joining Olive Medical, Mr. Talbert
specialized in software design, algorithm development for military surveillance
aircraft, video processing, and hardware design for a Fortune 500 medical device
company in the Bay Area. Talbert holds both a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Utah and currently has 2 issued patents and 10 patents pending.
Mark Albrecht, Vice President of Sales
Mr. Albrecht has a proven record of accomplishment with over 25 years of experience
in the medical device industry with positions including Vice President of Sales, National
Accounts, and Marketing for companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 corporations to
venture capital funded start-up firms. Mr. Albrecht has built successful sales teams at
multiple companies, and has negotiated numerous national and regional contracts with the
nation's leading healthcare providers. He holds a BA in Business Administration from the
University of Cincinnati.
Jeremiah Henley, President, Boardmember
Mr. Henley has over three years experience with a major medical device corporation
before Olive. His main responsibilities were product design and project
management. In that time he successfully brought five high-profile products to
market, including a high-definition surgical camera system and an industry-first
surgical light source. In addition to managing these projects he introduced DFMA
best practices, developed manufacturing and quality control procedures, and led the
implementation of a CAD library system. Previously, Mr. Henley gained nearly two
years experience in telecommunications product design and development with Alcatel
USA. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the
Pacific.
Donald Wichern, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Wichern has more than three years experience developing hardware and software for
medical video systems in a leading medical device corporation before Olive, with
an emphasis in high speed signal routing and video processing. As the lead
electrical engineer, he successfully brought two generations of the leading
high-definition surgical camera to market. Mr. Wichern began his focus on medical
devices during his Master's program, where his thesis developed a non-invasive
method of measuring cranial pressure. He holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from
Brigham Young University
J. Michael Brown, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Brown is currently CEO of Wolfe Tory Medical, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah,
and has over 25 years experience starting and managing medical device start-up
companies. He has a proven history of success with a range of general executive
roles and responsibilities, but focuses an emphasis on creating markets using
product innovations. Mr. Brown has raised more than $25 million for his current
and past companies, and has had four of his previous start-ups acquired by larger
medical device manufacturers.
S. George Simon, Boardmember
Mr. Simon is currently President and CEO of MediProPharma, Inc. and has over 20
years of worldwide business development, licensing and product development
experience with numerous life science companies. Most recently, Mr. Simon was
Executive Vice President at Myriad Genetics, Inc. where he was responsible for
business development and licensing for the research, diagnostic, and pharmaceutical
divisions of a NASDAQ-listed "Top 25" biotechnology company. During his seven year
tenure, he negotiated numerous collaborative research, license, joint venture
agreements and acquisitions.
Trent Loveless, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Loveless has a MS in accounting and is a CPA with nearly 20 years of
accounting and financial management experience. His background spans multiple
industries and he has served in executive management positions in companies
ranging from start-up to $750 million in annual revenues. He currently serves
as CFO on an outsource basis for a number of domestic and international
businesses with a focus on medical device companies. Mr. Loveless has
significant experience in debt and equity financings.
